Radial
Radial cut sails offer many great options, and can be designed for vessels ranging from small sport boats all the way up to super yachts. For radial sails we can use a wide variety of materials, depending on the type of boat and sail in question.
In a radial sail, the seams and panels radiate out from each of the sail’s corners, following the natural distribution of forces within the sail. Since the fibers within each radial panel closely follow the loads within the sail, the result is greater stretch control, and the resulting sail shape gives excellent results.
Another advantage with radial sails is the ability to combine various materials and weights within the same sail. This allows us to place the greatest strength where it is needed most, while saving weight in the more lightly loaded areas.
